KIDS MINISTRY AT KING’S ALASKA

What is King’s Kids?

King’s Kids is the children’s ministry of King’s Alaska—designed to help kids grow in faith, friendships, and a love for Jesus. From infants to 6th grade, we create a Christ-centered, joy-filled, and secure environment where every child can thrive.

We believe church should be the most exciting part of a kid’s week! Through engaging worship, age-appropriate Bible lessons, hands-on activities, and meaningful connection, we help children discover God’s love and the joy of His church.

Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning each week, our team is here to welcome your family, ensure your child is safe, and make every experience a great one.

We welcome children from 6 weeks old through 6th grade, with classrooms divided by age and developmental stage.

We offer age-appropriate classes for:

  • Nursery (6 weeks–24 months)
  • Toddlers (2–3 years)
  • Pre-K (4–5 years)
  • Elementary (Kindergarten–6th Grade)
  • Crossroads (5th – 6th Grade)
Where do I check in my child?

Check in at the King’s Kids Welcome Center located in the Family Entrance Lobby. First-time families will be guided through a quick registration process.

When does check-in open?

Check-in opens 20 minutes before each Worship Experience. We recommend arriving early to avoid delays.

How does pick-up work?

Each child is given a name tag with a unique security code that matches your Parent Check-Out tag. You must present this tag to pick up your child.

Can someone else pick up my child?

Yes, but only if they’re listed as an approved adult on your family’s profile. You can update your pick-up list using our check-in iPads.

What safety policies are in place?

Your child’s safety is our top priority. All King’s Kids volunteers are background-checked, trained, and committed to creating a safe and loving environment.

We maintain the following safety policies:

  • Secure Check-In & Check-Out – Children receive a unique security tag that must be matched at pick-up. A valid photo ID is required if the tag is lost
  • Adult-to-Child Ratios – We maintain age-appropriate ratios to ensure proper supervision:
Nursery: 1 adult per 4 children
Early Childhood: 1 adult per 6 children
Elementary: 1 adult per 10 children
  • Clean Room Policy – Classrooms and surfaces are sanitized before, during, and after every service.
  • Well Child Policy – Children must be symptom-free for 48 hours after any fever, vomiting, or other contagious symptoms before attending.
  • Communication During Service – Parents are contacted by text message if needed. Please keep your phone visible during service.
  • Personal Items – Outside food, drinks, toys, and electronics are not permitted in classrooms.
  • Service Animals – Only certified service animals are allowed in the King’s Kids area.

Thank you for helping us maintain a secure and joyful environment for all children and families.

What if my child has allergies?

Let us know during check-in or through the ChurchCenter app. Allergy info will print directly on your child’s name tag and be shared with their teacher.

Can my child bring toys or electronics?

To prevent distractions and loss, outside toys, electronics, food, and drinks are not allowed.

What if my child gets sick?

Children must be symptom-free for 48 hours if they’ve had a fever, vomiting, or other contagious symptoms. This helps us keep everyone healthy.

How will you contact me during service if needed?
